A Journey of Healing Through Naturopathy & Chinese Medicine

About Dr. Rachel Erickson

Dr. Rachel Erickson earned her Naturopathic Doctorate and Master of Science in Oriental Medicine from the National College of Natural Medicine (NCNM) in Portland, Oregon, graduating in 2011. Her education combined modern medical science with the ancient healing traditions of Chinese Medicine, providing a comprehensive foundation in both evidence-based and traditional healing practices. Throughout her training, she studied Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, Qi Gong, and Homeopathy under the mentorship of highly respected practitioners. In 2005, she traveled to China to study Qi Gong with Master Wang, further deepening her expertise in energy cultivation and holistic healing.

In addition to her formal education, Dr. Erickson pursued advanced training to refine her skills. She completed a two-year intensive course in Homeopathy through the New England School of Homeopathy and studied Five Element Acupuncture with David Berkshire. Her training also includes Core Synchronism, a therapy similar to craniosacral work that supports deep relaxation and nervous system healing, as well as Ayurvedic Medicine with a focus on detoxification and rejuvenation. To complement her holistic approach, she completed Yoga Teacher Training in 2005, reinforcing her understanding of the mind-body connection in health and wellness.

Dr. Erickson’s practice focuses on identifying and addressing the root causes of chronic illness, utilizing diagnostic tools from both Naturopathic and Chinese Medicine. She incorporates laboratory testing, gastrointestinal assessments, and food/environmental allergy evaluations to develop personalized treatment plans. She specializes in treating a wide range of conditions, including chronic pain, hormonal imbalances, digestive disorders, anxiety, stress, and fatigue. Rather than merely alleviating symptoms, her goal is to restore balance by uncovering deeper imbalances contributing to illness.

As a Naturopathic Doctor and Acupuncturist, Dr. Erickson believes in the body’s natural ability to heal when given the proper support. Her treatments integrate acupuncture, herbal medicine, homeopathy, nutritional therapy, and lifestyle counseling, all tailored to each patient's unique needs. She is also deeply committed to patient education, empowering individuals to take an active role in their health through mindful nutrition, movement, and self-care practices.

With over a decade of experience in natural medicine, Dr. Erickson remains dedicated to guiding her patients toward long-term wellness. Whether helping individuals navigate chronic conditions, life transitions, or simply optimize their health, she provides compassionate, holistic care that supports healing at every level.
